Step 1: Configure your Settings
Run musetup and configure your:Username (the name people on SoulSeek will see you as. Try something inventive :) Password (use something other than the word "password".) Download Directory (where files will be saved) Shared Directories (your files) Connection Mode (try passive if your port 2234 is properly accessable). Interface Password (for connections with the different clients) Interface Listener (add one for your local area network if you wish to connect to museek from a different PC on your network)
Step 2: Start museekd (Connect to Soulseek)
Run museekd
Step 3: Start museeq
Run museeq
Step 4: Login to museek with museeq
Input your Interface password and hit connect
Step 5: Join a chatroom
Watch as the Chat rooms appear and check out the museek Chat room
Step 6: Search..
Attempt a search by clicking the Search icon and typing in some text in the text bar.
Step 7: Learn the GUI
Try dragging files in the search to the Transfers icon. Try dragging users in the chat room to the Browse icon and User Info icon. Try right-clicking on users and files.
Step 8: Add your User info
Click on the Settings-»User info... menu item and type in some text about how you want your shares accessed. If you wish, include an image by clicking the ... button and finding it in your directory tree.
Step 9: What can I do at the command line?
Run mulog.py to log chatrooms and private chat.Run muscan to rescan your shares.Run killall -HUP museekd to reload your shares.Run museekchat to chat with the experimental curses console client.
